People who were forced out of their homes earlier this week after a fire at a transitional housing residence were allowed to return home Friday.
The fire at Dwayne’s Home on Wednesday afternoon caused $400,000 in damages and sent one man to hospital after he dropped from a top storey window.

Candice Gordey stayed at the Hope Mission and was glad to get back home
“I can't wait to have a shower,” she said. “I've been in the same clothes for four days. It's gross.”
The Red Cross, Shaw Conference Centre and Hope Mission stepped in to help residents.
Fire investigators have yet to announce the cause of the fire.
Dwayne’s Home is a former hotel that was converted into affordable housing for people who may not have another place to live.
