Edmonton police are investigating a drive-by shooting that happened around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday just north of downtown.
Police blocked off 109th Street at 107th Avenue for several hours Tuesday morning while they collected shell casings.
They say someone from one vehicle opened fire on another, shooting three or four times and hitting the side of the car and the man behind the wheel.
Police say the injured driver then took off towards Groat Road and 111th Avenue, where he flagged down paramedics.
He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police do not believe the shooting was random.
They have not yet released a description of the suspect, except to say he may have been driving a mid-size silver sedan.
