Downtown rooming house death considered homicide

A 24-year-old woman found dead in an inner-city rooming house Monday was victim of homicide, say police.

A 24-year-old woman found dead in an inner-city rooming house Monday was the vicim of homicide, say police.

The body of Lena Steinhauer was discovered in the home near 112th Avenue and 95A Street after a caller reported an unconscious person.

An autopsy done on Tuesday led police to confirm Steinhauer's death as the city’s second homicide of 2015.

Police are asking anyone who recently attended the home or saw anything suspicious in the area to contact them.
