A mayoral candidate released a new ad campaign criticizing the arena deal at the same time that city council gave its final stamp on a major source of funding for the downtown arena. 2:27

The downtown Edmonton arena deal emerged in the mayoralty campaign this week, even as each of the candidates in the race agree its a done deal. 

As CBC's Marion Warnica reports, the issue arose as city council gave its final stamp of approval to how the city will fund its share of construction costs.
