Divers searching a lake west of Edmonton pulled the bodies of two men and a boy from the water on Saturday after a five-day search.

Crews first found the body of Zsolt Voros, 40, around 4 p.m. MT, not far from where his boat sank in Devil's Lake, northwest of Stony Plain, RCMP said.

Three hours later, they recovered the body of the man's son, Hunor LaRose, 5, and a family friend, Kyle Digout, 25, about 20 metres away.

The three, all from the Edmonton area, had gone fishing and were last heard from on Monday.

When the three failed to arrive home on Tuesday, the family called police.

Before finding Voros's body, crews pulled a tackle box, keys, two life-jackets and an article of clothing from the water.

On Friday, a helicopter crew spotted the submerged boat and rescuers using an underwater camera confirmed its location.

The three bodies have been taken to the medical examiner's officer in Edmonton.
