Oxycodone pills concealed in cross stitch patterns bound for Grande Prairie were seized last week at Edmonton International Airport. .

The drugs were inside a courier package with five cross stitch patterns. Border officials opened the packages after noticing they were sealed on all sides.

Each pattern had 55 pills inside. Police and border officials seized 275 pills in total. .

A 39-year-old man was arrested on Monday at his home in Grande Prairie. He was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and importation.
