The first court appearance for an Alberta woman accused of killing her two sons was adjourned Tuesday for one more week.
Allyson McConnell, 31, is charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of her sons, Jayden, 10 months, and Connor, 2 ½ years. The boys were found dead by their father, Curtis McConnell, in their house in Millet, Alta. on Feb. 1.
McConnell was originally to appear in court in Wetaskiwin, Alta. on March 16, but the matter was moved to Tuesday. An agent for her lawyer told the court that she is still in hospital.
Allyson McConnell was charged on Feb. 23. At the time, RCMP said she remained in hospital under 24-hour guard until she was well enough to be moved to a correctional facility.
