Cold may have killed missing Alberta highway worker
Worker, 37, reported missing from Highway 63 construction site
A 37-year-old highway construction worker found dead a short distance from his work site yesterday may have succumbed to the cold, police say.
The RCMP is investigating the death on Highway 63 north of Wandering River after they were called to the site on a missing person case.
The man was found dead nearby.
At the time he was reported missing, the temperature was -25 C with a windchill, police said.
An autopsy is scheduled for today.
The man's identity and the company name has not being released.
