Two people have been charged after the body of a man in his 20s was found on the Paul First Nation, west of Edmonton, on Friday.

Fraser Rain, 20, and Darion Bird, 19, both of the Paul First Nation, have been charged with second-degree murder.

Both are being held in police custody and are scheduled to appear in Stony Plain Provincial Court by video link on Oct. 6.

The body was found on Friday morning by someone who was walking in the bush looking for horses. Police said at the time they believed the death to be suspicious.

The identity of the victim has not been released. An autopsy is expected to take place early next week.
