Charges laid in drive-by shooting death
A 22-year-old man has been charged with second degree murder in the drive-by shooting that left one man dead last week.
SultanbekAbdymamatUulu, 22, died in hospital last week after the SUV he was sitting in was riddled with bullets near 113A Street and 136th Avenue.
The alleged shooter, who was wanted on Canada-wide warrants, turned himself in to police at the downtown EPS headquarters Monday afternoon.
The suspect brought his lawyer with him to the station.
The accused, who faces a total of six charges, is now in police custody.
This was Edmonton’s 11th homicide for 2014
