Charges laid after motorcyclist, 53, killed in crash
Truck driver has been released on bail with conditions
Charges have been laid against a 20-year-old B.C. man after a fatal motorcycle crash on Highway 16 west of Edmonton.
The motorcycle driver, a 53-year old Edmonton man, was killed when he was hit by a pick-up truck driven by the B.C. man at the junction of Highway 16A around 10 p.m. Tuesday.
RCMP have charged the truck driver with impaired driving causing death and operation of a motor vehicle while over .08 causing death.
He is not allowed to drive or drink alcohol as part of his bail conditions.
He is scheduled to appear in a Stony Plain court on May 7.
