The first court appearance for an Alberta woman accused of killing her two sons was adjourned Tuesday until March 23.
Allyson McConnell, 31, is charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of her sons, Jayden, 10 months, and Connor, 2 ½ years. The boys were found dead by their father, Curtis McConnell, in their house in Millett, Alta. on Feb. 1.
McConnell was to appear in a court in Wetaskiwin, Alta. Tuesday morning.
Curtis McConnell was in the courtroom but left without making any comments.
Allyson McConnell was charged on Feb. 23. At the time she was in hospital under 24-hour guard until she was well enough to be moved to a correctional facility, RCMP said.
