Canada-wide warrants have been issued for a 29-year-old man wanted in the slaying of Aden Ahmed in Edmonton in November 2012.
Police announced on Thursday that they were looking for Hassan Isse Ismail, 29, on charges of second-degree murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Ismail is believed to have ties to the greater Toronto area. He is described as being 6’3" and more than 200 pounds.
Det. Mike Bloxham said Ismail is considered dangerous.
"We suggest that nobody approach him and contact your local police, obviously, if you locate him," he said.
Ahmed, 24, was found suffering from stab wounds when police were called to a home near 113th Avenue and 94th Street on Nov. 19th.
Ahmed was rushed to hospital but died of his injuries.
