Boy, 5, killed in go-cart accident on Alberta reserve
RCMP are investigating the death of a five-year-old boy who was killed in a go-cart accident on the Saddle Lake First Nation east of Edmonton.
Witnesses say Tayden Cardinal-Moses was playing with the go-cart in a driveway, along with some other children, on Saturday evening.
The go-cart started moving, but Cardinal-Moses was unable to control it. The vehicle went about 100 metres before it collided with a parked pickup truck.
Nearby adults were unable to stop the go-cart before it hit the truck.
The boy was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The five-year-old was not wearing a helmet and had little experience with the machine.
Saddle Lake is about 175 kilometres east of Edmonton.
