Athabasca-area ATV rider killed after hitting pick-up truck
An 24-year-old ATV rider is dead after running into a pick-up truck on a highway in northern Alberta.
Police were called to the scene at 11:35 a.m. Sunday on Secondary Highway #813 about 30 kilometres north of Athabasca, or 180 kilometres north of Edmonton.
Police said the man was driving in the ditch when he turned abruptly without looking to cross the highway.
