Amber Alert ends after infant girl located by Edmonton police
Police feared mother was planning to take 9-month-old daughter to China
Edmonton police located a nine-month-old girl they believe was abducted by her mother Tuesday, two hours after issuing an Amber Alert.
The mother and her daughter were last seen early Monday morning at a southwest Edmonton home.
Police were called to the home at 7:45 p.m. and were told the mother left the home with the child between 6:45 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Police believed the mother may have been planning to return to China.
Police were concerned initially for the well-being of the child, but both the child and the mother were found safe, they said.
