A woman accused of killing her two young sons was ordered to stand trial at the conclusion of her preliminary hearing in Wetaskiwin, Alta., Wednesday.
Allyson McConnell, 32, is charged with second-degree murder in the deaths of 10-month-old Jayden McConnell and two-year-old Connor McConnell.
The boys were found dead by their father, Curtis McConnell, in their home in Millet, 40 kilometres south of Edmonton, on Feb. 1, 2010.
The hearing in Wetaskiwin provincial court was held to determine whether there is enough evidence to hold a trial. A publication ban covers all evidence introduced at the hearing.
McConnell's next court date is scheduled for May 24.
