Northern Alberta RCMP showcased bags of marijuana, jugs of crystal meth and other drugs, along with weapons all confiscated during road-side traffic stops over the first three months of 2013.

RCMP invited reporters to examine the drugs which included 180 kilograms of marijuana, meth, heroin, oxycodone, a Beretta handgun with two magazines and $400,000 in cash.

Making routine traffic stops can lead to significant seizures of drugs, firearms, stolen goods and other contraband materials, RCMP said.
