Alberta Health Services reports 2 more deaths caused by flu
Alberta Health Services says two more people have died over the last six days due to influenza A, bringing the overall total to 17 deaths this winter.
There have been 2,746 cases of flu in Alberta this year.
In 707 cases, people were sick enough to be hospitalized.
Alberta Health Services says the province saw 37 deaths in total during the last flu season. Across Canada, the number of deaths connected with influenza averages 3,500 annually.
