4 charged in inmate slaying at Edmonton Max

Charges have been laid against four men in the death of an inmate at the Edmonton Institution last month.

Charges have been laid against four men in the death of an inmate at the Edmonton Institution last month.

Ryan Holteen, 32, was declared dead by paramedics who were called to the maximum security prison around 10 p.m. on Sept. 26

The medical examiner said that Holteen died of multiple injuries.

Two men have been charged with second-degree murder. Two more have been charged with being accessories after the fact.
