A 25-year-old Edmonton man has been charged with second-degree murder after an early morning stabbing in the north end on Sunday.
28-year-old Stacy Steinhauer was discovered at about 2 a.m. between 118th Street and 119th Street on 127th Avenue suffering from stab wounds.
The partially-clothed man was taken to hospital, where he later died.
A suspect was arrested at the scene. The pair had been fighting, fuelled by alcohol, inside a nearby rooming house before Steinhauer was killed, police said.
An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday morning.
A second man in the rooming house was taken in for questioning and arrested on outstanding warrants, police said.
