Environment Canada issued a wind warning Saturday morning for several communities in southern Alberta in anticipation of strong gusts throughout the evening and into Sunday morning.
A storm system currently over the Pacific coast will move into B.C. tonight and is expected to cause 90 km/h gusts along the Foothills.
The winds will gradually diminish Sunday morning.
Snow is also expected to begin Saturday evening near Banff and Jasper.
Up to 20 centimetres are forecast for the areas, with the highest amounts over Lake Louise and the Icefields Parkway.
