Environment Canada's forecast warns of a chance of snow

The mercury hit 19 C today, but Environment Canada is warning there could be flurries tonight.

The spring-like temperature is the highest so far this year for Calgary.

The Environment Canada forecast outlines a chance of flurries for this evening and through the night.

CBC meteorologist Danielle Savoni says while we may get a rain and snow mix, it will likely melt as it hits the ground.

Savoni says quick change is normal for this time of year.

"It’s spring, it’s common to have large fluctuations in temperatures."

Savoni said as soon as we hit 14 C, Tuesday had already registered as the warmest day of the year so far.

"The rest of this week will look much different than today, though," said Savoni.
