Family and friends gathered at a Calgary church on Wednesday evening to pray for the safe return of 56-year-old Sandra Mykytiuk-Evans.

The mother of three was last seen at her family home in the community of Strathcona in southwest Calgary on Dec. 29 around 6 p.m. MT.

Police said the woman left home without her keys and purse, as well as her medication for depression and back pain.

Mykytiuk-Evans' daughter, Laura Evans, says the family is still hopeful that she is alive.

Police and local search-and-rescue volunteers have searched some of Mykytiuk-Evans' favourite places in Calgary over the past few week, but there has been no trace of the missing woman.

Anyone who may have seen Mykytiuk-Evans is asked the call the Calgary Police Service at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
