A brand of dried noodle sold in Alberta and other provinces has been recalled after tests showed it could contain undeclared peanut.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says the ingredient showed up in Hankow brand Han Kow style noodles (hubei flavour) during a safety investigation.
Hong Dao Business Development Ltd. is now recalling the product from stores.
People with an allergy to peanut should not consume the noodles, the CFIA said.
The 460 gram packages have a manufacturing date of September 2013.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with people eating the noodles.
