Thousands line up for Calgary job fair
Alberta boasts lowest youth unemployment rate in Canada
Several thousand young people lined up yesterday in the hopes of landing a summer job.
The annual job fair was held at Stampede Park, with more than 5,000 jobs up for grabs.

Hiring summer students in Alberta can be a very competitive market. The province’s youth unemployment rate is the lowest in Canada.
Brewers Distributors is only looking to fill about 15 jobs. However, the company's operations manager Shaun Shaw says it is expecting more than 200 applicants.
"We're offering $16.22 an hour, all part-time employees get a $500 retention bonus," he says.
Eighty employers took part in this year's job fair.
