Teen dies from injuries in Highway 22X crash

A 19-year-old man has succumbed to injuries received in a crash last Thursday on Spruce Meadows Trail southwest.

A 19-year-old man succumbed to injuries received in a crash on Highway 22X late on Sunday night.

The crash happened at roughly 5:30 p.m. MT last Thursday near Spruce Meadows Way southwest.

Police say the teenager was a passenger in a 1997 Dodge Avenger that ran two stop signs and collided with a 2003 Ford Cutaway van.

The 19-year-old driver of the car remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The 54-year-old driver of the cube van was not hurt in the crash.

Police do not believe alcohol played a factor.
