Firefighters battled a blaze at an unoccupied house in northeast Calgary on Saturday morning.
Crews were called around 10:05 a.m. MT to the house on the 200 block of Eighth Street N.E.
Firefighters were not able to enter the Bridgeland bungalow because the floor had become structurally unsound, officials said.
Crews fought the flames defensively and worked to prevent the fire from spreading to other houses.
It’s not believed anyone was in the house when the fire broke out. But officials were trying to confirm reports that someone had sometimes been living there.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
