Vauxhall RCMP have arrested two teens after following a trail of footprints in the snow to a string of break and enters, and then to a local residence where a number of stolen goods were discovered.
Officers responded to a call about a break and enter in progress at a bottle depot in town Thursday. When they arrived they discovered the suspects had left the area, but members observed tracks in the fresh snow.
They followed the footprints to a fabric store, where they discovered it had also been broken into.
Members again followed tracks, and it appeared the suspects had been dragging a heavy item, to a home on Third Avenue in Vauxhall where they found two teenagers and stolen property.
While speaking with the officers, one of the youths also confessed to committing two prior break and enter offences in January.
A 15-year-old male and 17-year-old male have been charged with multiple counts of break and enter and theft.
Both are scheduled to appear in court on March 22.
