Calgary police say there will be no charges in a stabbing that occurred at Dr. E.P. Scarlett High School in Calgary's southwest Friday.

A young man was stabbed by another teen around 11:45 a.m. MT, which sparked a lockdown at the school and a search for the suspect. The victim’s injuries were minor in nature.

After interviewing everyone involved, police determined that the two young men are friends and were horsing around when one of them accidentally stabbed the other.

The teen with the knife attended to his friend and attempted First Aid until emergency crews arrived, according to police.

However, the teen with the knife does face a charge of breaching his conditions as a result of a separate and unrelated incident.
