A "rubberband" dance troupe, an elephant's tale and the now foul-mouthed dad from Full House — there's lots happening on the entertainment scene around the city for the week ahead.

The Story of Babar: Carnival of the Animals

Honen's Storytellers is putting on The Story of Babar: Carnival of the Animals this weekend.

The project is a team effort from the folks at the Honen's International Piano Competition and Calgary’s theater community.

Babar, the little elephant featured in the French cartoon, will be narrated by Denise Clarke from One Yellow Rabbit. Pianist Hong Xu will bring the story to life on the piano.

Bob Saget

Comedian Bob Saget will be at the Jack Singer Thursday.

Saget is most well-known as the squeaky clean dad from TV’s Full House, or as the original host of America's Funniest Home Videos.

But these days Saget makes a living as a raunchy stand-up comedian.

Saget's routines are for adults only and can be very vulgar. So, not a show for everyone, but if it's your kind of humour, it should be a good night of laughs.
