Lac La Biche RCMP say a 16-year-old northern Alberta girl who went missing a week ago has made contact with police.
Tanisha Mary Lou Pruden was reported missing from the Lac La Biche area Jan. 25.
Police put out a public call for help Friday and Lac La Biche RCMP Const. Chris Clark said the girl made contact with police Saturday.
"Ms. Pruden attended the Lloydminster RCMP Detachment earlier today and advised that she was missing and wanted to speak to police," Clark said in a written statement.
"Ms. Pruden is safe and has been in contact with her family."
Clark said the Lac La Biche RCMP thank the public for their calls and assistance in helping to locate Pruden.
