5-foot Calgary student cracks basketball roster

The Mount Royal Cougars Women's basketball team will have a diminutive member next year – 17-year-old Alicia Tan.
She made the team despite being only five feet tall.
“I never thought of it as a problem, I just had to use my other strengths to help me play,” Tan says. “I'm good at shooting three's, I’m good at dribbling and I'm pretty fast.”
Tan is on scholarship at Mount Royal University and hopes to play professional basketball once she finishes her degree.
