Health authorities say certain Fish Tempura Sticks and Kinnikinnick Foods Pie Crusts are being pulled off grocery shelves in Alberta because they may contain egg products not declared on the label.

Garfield Balsom with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the products are otherwise safe.

"These are allergen issues, and they are for people who are severely allergic to egg ... products. They are at risk if they ... look on the label and have no idea that these allergens are present," he said.

There is a report that one person has suffered an allergic reaction from eating the fish sticks.

Taiwan Food Products Ltd. of Surrey, B.C., is voluntarily recalling Fish Tempura Sticks sold in 365 gram packages with expiry dates of Sept. 12 and 13 of this year.

Kinnikinnick Foods Inc. of Edmonton is also voluntarily recalling frozen pie crusts sold in 290 gram packages with the best before date of Dec. 17, 2013.
