A multi-vehicle crash between the McKnight Boulevard and 64th Avenue exits on northbound Deerfoot Trail in Calgary caused traffic delays during Wednesday's rush hour.
Emergency crews responded to the crash at 3 p.m. MT.
The Calgary Fire Department said six vehicles and a semi-trailer carrying gasoline were involved, but an EMS spokesperson was told there were only four vehicles in total.
During most of rush-hour only one northbound lane was open and traffic was backed up to Memorial Drive.
Around 6 p.m. the lane was reopened.
Firefighters had to help remove a person from one of the vehicles, and three people were taken to hospital by EMS in stable condition with minor injuries.
