It's the largest hockey tournament in the world, but minor hockey week in Calgary is not only an endurance test for the athletes but for many parents as well.
"Throwing your dinner in the backseat, and telling your kids to eat as fast as they can — that's pretty much our lives right now," said Christine Yang, who has two kids on the ice this week.
There are more than 10,000 players in the hockey tournament, and almost a thousand games will be played at more than 50 rinks around the city.
But with two players under her roof, Janice Cummins says hockey week isn't one she looks forward to.
"I hate to say I don't, but I don't," she laughed.
