SUV driver killed in crash with bus on Highway 63

The driver of an SUV was killed in a head-on crash with a Red Arrow passenger bus on Highway 63 south of Grassland, Alta., around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night.
Five occupants of the bus were taken to Boyle and Athabasca Hospitals for treatment of minor injuries. All had been released by Thursday morning.
John Stepovy, general manager of Red Arrow Motorcoach, told CBC News that for the most part the bus driver and passengers appeared to be fine.
The southbound SUV hit the northbound passenger bus sending both vehicles into the ditch.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced deceased on scene.
Police do not believe weather and road condition are factors, but have not ruled out alcohol.
Traffic was diverted for a number of hours while the investigation and clean up took place.
The sold-out bus left Edmonton at 5 p.m. and was headed to Fort McMurray. Another bus has been sent to pick up passengers.
