West LRT smooth so far says the city
No major problems reported on new West LRT

This week's launch of the $1.4 billion West LRT line has not faced any major problems according to the city.
The General Manager of Transportation, Mac Logan, says there have not been any issue with the public areas, the trains or the power system.
Logan says there has been a complaint about the signage on platforms.
"One that came up on Saturday was, we clearly indicate which line is into the city centre. The opposite direction doesn't indicate that it's going to 69th street, so there's an easy fix," said Logan.
The West LRT opened on Dec. 10 after three years of construction.
While there appears to be no technical problems so far, some commuters in Coach Hill have raised concerns about a longer commute on the new LRT line which has replaced some bus routes.
