Pedestrian in life-threatening condition after Jeep hit her

A woman is in critical condition in hospital after being hit by a Jeep on 16th Avenue.
It happened this afternoon at the intersection with 19th Street N.W.
A Jeep Wrangler hit the 58-year-old as she stepped off the sidewalk.
Alcohol and speed do not appear to have been factors in the collision.
Police are investigating.
