RCMP are investigating after a rollover early this morning on Highway 1A just west of Chestermere.
There were four adults and four children in the SUV when it slid into the ditch and rolled over, landing on its roof.
One person with serious injuries was taken to hospital by STARS air ambulance.
The other occupants of the vehicle were also transported to a Calgary hospital.
"It was a large SUV, and everybody appeared to have seatbelts on at the time, so the airbags were deployed," said Cpl. Shane Fletcher.
"Currently everyone is in stable condition. The children were released from the hospital."
