Members of the Tsuu T'ina First Nation will vote Monday for a band council and chief.

The voting station was set to open at 9 a.m. MT. Election staff will count the ballots and declare the winners at around 8:30 p.m.

The First Nation, located southwest of Calgary, is planning a casino expansion and hotel project, and is involved in talks with the provincial government about Calgary's ring road project.

The current council was elected two years ago.
