The annual ACAD Show and Sale
A chance to get up close and personal with the work of Calgary's emerging visual artists. The sale will showcase a variety of the artwork, including paintings, sculpture, jewelry, textiles and, new this year, will feature a guided tour of the art

ACAD
Heart of Darkness by Theatre Encounter
It's a work of theatre and dance, based on the classic turn of the century novel by Joseph Konrad. It’s the story of an English journalist in the 19th century who becomes the manager of a trade station in the African interior and starts to lose his grip on reality. If you think you don't know it, maybe you actually do -- the Francis Ford Coppola movie Apocalypse Now popularized the work, reimagining it in the Vietnam War.

Theatre Junction Grand
The Gardener by Quest Theatre
This family show focuses on the relationship between a boy and his uncle. When the young boy’s parents bring home a new sibling, he starts to feel left out and goes to visit his uncle, who is a gardener.

Sunday 11 a.m. MT, 1:30 p.m. MT
Arrata Opera Centre
Zoo Lights
The annual tradition starts Friday and runs until Jan. 5th, except for Christmas Day and New Year's Eve. As well as all the animals, visitors are treated to light displays and the occasional choir.
