The Stampeders held their last full length practice of the CFL season this afternoon at the Rogers Centre.

I watched part of from a seat on the 50 yard line. In the immortal words of legendary baseball announcer and Miller Lite pitchman, "hey, these seats aren't bad."

Come Sunday, that same seat could be going for $1,500 or more. I talked to a scalper outside the Rogers Centre who said he could have made a killing if Montreal won the Eastern Final, but demand is still brisk because it’s the 100th Grey Cup.

The Stampeders looked loose, and ready to go.

The offence practiced with crowd noise pumping through the speakers, but quarterback Kevin Glenn and running back Jon Cornish both say it won't be a factor because nothing can be louder than BC Place or Regina.

Cornish says he celebrated his Most Outstanding Canadian award solo with a nice risotto and glass of red wine at an upscale Toronto restaurant.

The party is on right now in downtown Toronto.

Stamps House opens this evening at the Convention Centre next to the Rogers Centre Sam Roberts and the Matthew Good band are the headliners at the street festival on Front Street, and the bars and restaurants are already packed.

You can get a taste of the mayhem this afternoon live on the Homestretch, and can also see it live on the CBC Calgary TV News at 6, and 11.
