Some famous Calgarians wade in with their advice for their Calgary Stampeders.
Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi sports a Stamps jersey. (Kyle Bakx/CBC) Naheed Nenshi, Mayor of Calgary "I could give them very technical advice on how to run the game. Toronto's got a great running game, you've got to be very careful, but how about I just say this — we are proud of you. But remember, 2012 has been the year of Calgary in so many ways, and we have to cap it with that Grey Cup. Pressure guys, pressure!"
Stu Laird, Former Stampeders defensive tackle and former president of the CFL Players' Association
"Being part of the 100th Grey Cup celebration will be special, but this week will come and go. The victors of this game will become part of CFL lore, and those memories will last a lifetime. Stay focused."
Cassie Campbell-Pascall, Two-time Olympic hockey gold medallist and CBC Hockey Night in Canada Broadcaster
"Be humble leading up to the big game. Show how good you are by your actions on the field. There will be nothing better than winning with class and simple hard work. Enjoy the Grey Cup atmosphere, but don't let anything take away from your preparation."
Dave Kelly, Emcee and executive producer, Kelly Brothers Productions
"Hey, Coach Hufnagel and the rest of the Stamps. We have a week old baby girl and a 22-month-old son getting used to a sister. 1) Please win. 2) Please win by a lot. 3) Please win quietly between the hours of 1 and 3:30 p.m."
