1 dead, 6 injured in crash near Rocky Mountain House

One person was killed and six others sent to hospital after a crash on a highway west of Rocky Mountain House, Alta. early Saturday morning.
RCMP say a car carrying six people was parked on the side of the highway, about 11 kilometres west of the town, when it was hit from behind by a pick-up truck.
Emergency workers had to use the jaws of life to pull two people from the car. All of the people in the car and the driver of the truck were taken to hospital.
Police say one person later died.
RCMP are investigating the crash. No charges have been laid so far.
