Cyclist injured after collision with van in S.W. Calgary
Police were told by witnesses that the cyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, ran a red light

A 29-year-old man was taken to hospital with critical head injuries after being hit while cycling along 10th Avenue S.W. Friday morning.
It happened around 7:15 a.m. MT at the intersection of Eighth Street.
The cyclist was hit by a van in the intersection.
Witnesses told police the cyclist ran a red light.
He was not wearing a helmet, according to police.
