RCMP are still looking for suspects in connection to a disturbing horse death that happened at Olds College in September.
Officials say someone opened the fences on what is commonly called "Stallions Row," allowing four stallions into the same enclosed area.
A fight broke out between the stallions and left one prized horse dead, and another severely injured.
Tanya MacDonald, agriculture dean for Olds College, says staff and students are still devastated.
She says the financial reward for information that would lead to an arrest keeps growing and now sits at $4,000.
“I hope with the added money on the reward that people will come forward with some information,” MacDonald said.
While RCMP continue their investigation, the college is also beefing up its security by keeping the horse fences locked. The college is also contemplating electronic surveillance.
