Man hit by train in Calgary

A man suffered serious injuries after he was hit by a train in southeast Calgary around noon Wednesday.
The Calgary Fire Department says the man was walking on the tracks just south of Shawville Gate.
There aren’t many details at this point, only that the man apparently fell down an embankment and was found lying in a pond.
Traffic in the area was temporarily rerouted.
