Southern Alberta is under a severe thunderstorm warning.
CBC meteorologist Danielle Savoni warns Calgarians about heavy downpours and the potential for hail.
“It’s an active day out there, with plenty of storms throughout Alberta,” says Savoni.
“We have one storm cell in Calgary right now and a few stronger cells just off to the west.”
