Driver of van in head-on collision with motorcyclist faces four criminal charges

A Calgary motorist has been charged in connection with a fatal head-on collision with a motorcyclist on the weekend.
Early Sunday morning a motorcycle rider was heading east on 17th Avenue near 82nd Street S.E.
A van going west on the same road crossed the centre line, smashing into the motorcycle. The 45-year-old rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the van, Kelly James York, 42, is facing four charges, including impaired driving causing death and hit and run.
